CLASSROOM EXPECTATIONS (to be followed in conjunction with school wide expectations)
- Students should attend classes regularly and on time. If a student is late, they should enter class with a pass, quietly take their seat, without interrupting other students.
- During discussions and lectures, students should be respectful of peers and the teacher—there should be no side conversations or movement around the room. If a student would like to share their opinion, comment on a topic or ask a question, they should raise their hand and wait to be called upon.
- Be prepared for class: Students should always have their Chromebook (charged) and charger, a pencil, pen, paper, colored pencils and any assignment due.
DISCIPLINE POLICY
Students are expected to follow the Bay District Schools Code of Student Conduct at all times on campus and at school related events.
The following steps will be taken upon infraction:
1. Verbal Warning in class
2. Student/Teacher conference outside of the classroom and/or seat change
3. Parent/Guardian email or phone call
4. Parent meeting and office referral
TARDY POLICY
A student is late to class if they are not in their assigned seat at the time the bell has rung. After three unexcused tardies, parent/guardian will be contacted. If unexcused tardies continue, a referral will be issued and the student will be sent to administration (principal, assistant principal, guidance counselor).
